Who We Are
IDS is a Tysons, VA-based technology innovation company with a singular focus: helping the federal government make better decisions through better data. We design, develop, and deploy mission-critical software platforms and analytics solutions that are embedded in the daily operations of the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, Army, and some of the most complex agencies in the federal government.
Founded on the principles of dedication, integrity, and perseverance, IDS has grown from a bootstrapped software innovator into an industry-recognized leader in Government technology. Our people bring deep expertise in defense acquisition, program portfolio management, and data analytics, and they show up every day with one goal: make our customers more efficient and more effective.
In 2023, IDS reached a significant milestone when it took on a strategic investment from Arlington Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based private equity firm managing approximately $7 billion in capital. This partnership positions IDS for its next chapter of growth while staying true to the mission-first culture that earned the trust of the DoW over more than 30 years.

At the heart of what we do are two flagship platforms that have become cornerstones of how the DoW manages its programs and finances.
CCaR™ — Enterprise Requirements Management
Our flagship platform serves as the single source of truth for program managers across the Department of War. CCaR™ automates manual, error-prone processes, integrates program and financial management functions that once lived in silos, and delivers powerful reporting and analytics at every level of an organization — from the action officer to senior leadership.
PMRT — Program Management Resource Tools
IDS pioneered the PMRT system, a transformational platform used by the Air Force, Space Force, Army, and USSOCOM acquisition workforces. PMRT provides the cradle-to-grave program management capability needed to acquire and sustain defense weapon systems and business systems. As the digital services integrator for PMRT, IDS designed, developed, and deployed the user-centered platform from the ground up.
Business Intelligence & Data Analytics
Beyond our flagship products, IDS delivers tailored business intelligence and data visualization services that empower organizations to unlock the value hidden in their own business processes. Our approach uses people, policy, process, and technology together to democratize data and enable self-service analytics — putting answers in the hands of decision-makers, not just data scientists.
Recently Recognized: $99 Million U.S. Air Force Contract
In April 2025, the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center awarded IDS a follow-on IDIQ contract with a $99M ceiling for enterprise program management resource tools — awarded through a sole-source process, a testament to IDS’s irreplaceable role as the Air Force’s trusted long-term partner. The contract runs through October 2030 and covers enterprise applications for program and financial management, acquisition reporting, and leadership monitoring.
