Employee Benefits

IDS offers all employees an extensive benefits package including personal time-off, paid holidays and a guaranteed 401(k) contribution. IDS also offers all medical benefits at no cost for employees. Along with this, a Cafeteria 125 Plan is available, which employees may utilize to pay for their dependants' medical premiums on a pretax basis.

The IDS 401(k) plan is being administered by First Mercantile Trust. On-line management of accounts is available. In appreciation of our employees, IDS will automatically place 3% of earned gross income into each account. No matching is required.

  1. MEDICAL INSURANCE:
    Provider: Blue Cross
    POS Option for CA employees
    PPO Option for non-CA employees

  2. DENTAL INSURANCE:
    Provider: Delta Dental
    DMO and DPO Options for CA employees
    DPO option for non-CA employees

  3. VISION PLAN:
    Provider: Guardian VSP

  4. LIFE INSURANCE:
    Provider: Blue Cross
    $15,000 Life and AD&D policy provided by IDS

  5. SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE
    Providers: Guardian and Aflac
    Employees have the option to purchase additional life, cancer care, specified event, hospital protection, and accident insurance, and short term disability at discounted rates.

  6. FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
    Provider: Aflac
    Employees may elect to have a portion of salary withheld pretax and then submit expenses and be reimbursed for qualified expenditures throughout the year. This plan allows employees to avoid paying taxes on money spent for qualified health care and dependant care expenses.

  7. DISABILITY INSURANCE:
    Provider: Guardian
    Comprehensive long-term and short-term disability coverage provided by IDS.

  8. 401(k) PLAN:
    Provider: First Mercantile Trust
    Employee may contribute up to $15,500 annually; catch up contribution of $5,000 allowed for qualified participants.
    Employer contribution of 3% annually.
    Employees are eligible on first entry date after completion of six months of employment.
    Four entry dates are available annually – January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, October 1st.

  9. HOME MORTGAGE “CORPORATE ADVANTAGE PROGRAM” (CAP)
    Provider: Wells Fargo Bank
    Home financing on new purchases or refinances.

  10. PERSONAL TIME
    15 Days accrued annually; after 2 years of service, 20 days accrued annually, after 8 years of service, 25 days accrued annually

  11. HOLIDAYS
    10 Days Annually (New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas).
