IDS’
primary service is enterprise application development
and support with a focus on financial management. Over
the years, we have developed financial
and program management applications supporting a variety of different Government
and Commercial customers. IDS has a proven, refined software development process
that has been recognized and accepted by industry leaders, including the United
States Air Force. Working hand-in-hand with our customers, IDS has implemented
web-based and client-server requirements gathering systems, internal configuration
control, and software issues databases. We also strive to gain a comprehensive
understanding of the processes, requirements, and deliverables expected by
our customers.
IDS utilizes rapid application development techniques and
advanced configuration control tools to ensure that our customers
are provided with sound, tested software that not only meets
but exceeds their requirements. These techniques include
workshops or focus groups, prototyping and early, reiterative
user testing of designs, the re-use of software components,
and rigidly paced schedules.

tools and rapid application development processes.>
We
have developed an extensive library of classes and objects
that
allow us to expedite our software delivery cycles. Our
requirements gathering tools, prototyping tools, language
development
environments, software re-use techniques, and testing
tools, enable IDS to provide enhancements and revisions
of its software
in a highly efficient and effective manner.
Database Administration
Being
an enterprise application development company, IDS has
extensive and in-depth knowledge of a
number of relational database management systems (RDBMS),
including Oracle, SQL*Server, and Sybase. Our national
team of database administrators represent a breadth of
experience and expertise in all areas of database administration.
We support small single database deployment for small commercial
companies to grand scale enterprise deployments. IDS performs
all database administration functions for 41 geographically
dispersed Oracle databases hosting our enterprise financial
application for the United States Air Force. Support includes,
but is not limited to, daily backup, database tuning, disaster
recovery, etc.
Nearly all of the database applications currently being developed by IDS are
hosted on Oracle Relational Database Management Systems. Although IDS provides
database support on a variety of relational database platforms (Oracle, SQL*Server,
Sybase, etc), we are primarily an Oracle shop. As such, our development staff
has expert-level familiarity with all of the Oracle development tools, including
Oracle Forms and Reports.
The skill set of our development team boasts decades of experience working
with the Oracle Relational Database Management System, Forms and Reports. Many
of the individuals on the IDS development team have previous experience working
directly for Oracle and other Oracle shops. This experience enables us to stay
current with the latest technologies provided by Oracle.
Network Administration
IDS
has consulted on and deployed a number of local, metropolitan,
and wide area networks for a variety of different Government
and Commercial customers.
We are intimately familiar with most of today’s popular Network Operating Systems
(NOS), including, but not limited to, MS Windows2003 Server, Novell’s Netware,
Linux, and Sun Solaris. We are a full service network shop and are able to
deploy a complete networking solution, including firewalls, routers, switches,
etc. Whether your enterprise is a small 10 user local area network or a multi-national
wide area network supporting 10 thousand users, IDS has the skill and experience
to support your deployment and day-to-day maintenance.
