It has already been mentioned in the past that the Air Force
Materiel Command (AFMC) has recognized the Comprehensive
Cost and Requirement (CCaR) System as a standard management
system for its acquisition organizations. What hasn't
been mentioned is the fact that CCaR has also been
added as an official Air Force software package. The
official designator for CCaR is H311. The identification
of CCaR as an official Air Force software system is
critical, not only in lending credibility to a product
that has been used for over a decade, but for ensuring
that CCaR gets appropriate attention and resource to
meet the ever changing technical and security requirements
of the Air Force enterprise.
